ZTerm Sound Installer 1.1 adds informative sounds to ZTerm version .85.
The sounds are from The Simpsons TV Show:
1) “Hi Man!” will be played when a connection is made; and
2) “Yeah, Man!” is played when an upload or download finishes.
These sounds replace the two beeps that normally occur.
ZTerm Sound Installer PERMANENTLY installs the sounds into, and modifies the program code of, ZTerm. It cannot be easily disabled! Therefore, you should only use ZTerm Sound Installer on a duplicate copy of ZTerm. You may decide you don’t like the sounds and you want the original version of ZTerm. Also, ZTerm Sound Installer can completely destroy a copy of ZTerm if something goes wrong during installation. In either of these cases, you will be glad you have an original copy! Running ZTerm Sound Installer again DOES NOT remove the changes.
Using ZTerm Sound Installer is quite easy:
1) Make a copy of your ZTerm file. Lock the original and put it in a safe place.
2) Double-click on ZTerm Sound Installer.
3) Select your ZTerm file and press the “Install” button.
4) Virus checkers may warn you that the ZTerm file is being modified. Allow this to happen.
5) If all goes well, your copy of ZTerm now has sounds! Turn up the volume and have fun.
If something goes wrong, you will see a message telling you to destroy the copy of ZTerm that you attempted installation upon, because it may be damaged. If the error message says "(-192)" at the end of it, make sure that the ZTerm file you are installing sounds into is not locked. If it is, just unlock it and try again - no need to throw it away. If you get a different code in the error message, you can contact me at one of the online addresses listed below and I'll try to help you. Please tell me what the error code was!
